Sam is Charlie's parent at Bellbird Rise Primary School. Bellbird Rise is a fictional Melbourne primary school set up on Qwizflow as a demo, and Sam, Charlie and everyone else there are demo accounts. When Charlie joins class 5A, both school paths say Ask a grown-up: AI features for a child need a parent's consent first.
So Charlie shows Sam a code from the app. Sam already has a Qwizflow account, and the parent home says no children are linked yet. Sam enters Charlie's code, and Charlie appears on the parent home. More than one parent can link to the same child the same way.

Choosing the AI, One Feature at a Time
On Charlie's page, the AI Consent Centre lists every AI feature, each with a plain-English explanation written for the child's age band. For a child, only a parent can give this consent.
Sam turns features on one at a time: quizzes, study guides, the Owl tutor, creative tools and adaptive learning. Others, like the story writer and roleplay, stay off. Changes take effect immediately, and every change is kept in the consent history. The tutor's read-aloud voice follows the quiz consent rather than needing a switch of its own.

Seeing What the AI Knows
With Charlie learning, Sam opens Charlie's AI transparency ledger. It shows what the AI knows about Charlie: Year 5, the last quiz, and the topics Charlie is strong in. Learning progress shows two topics mastered, from Charlie's path quizzes.
The ledger also shows which AI service handled which feature, and how often. Learning records are stored in Melbourne, personal information is scrubbed before anything reaches an AI service, and no data is used to train AI models. If Sam ever changes their mind, the AI Consent Centre is one tap away.
