Sarah’s Peace of Mind

Sarah was nervous when her Year 4 daughter Mia started using AI tools at school. She had heard the stories — chatbots giving wrong answers, children sharing personal information, data being sent overseas to train AI models.

When she discovered Qwizflow, the first thing she noticed was the AI Consent Centre. She could see every AI feature, read plain-English age-banded explanations (the wording for under-13 was different from 13-15 and 16+), and enable them one by one. She started with just the quiz generator and the homework helper, keeping the Debate Arena disabled until Mia is older. When Mia asked to talk to the voice tutor, Sarah turned on the AI Quiz Generation toggle — the voice features inherit that consent — and Mia chose Maya, the warm Australian voice.

The Parent Transparency Ledger gave Sarah a feeling no other platform had: a chronological list of every AI interaction Mia had — feature, sub-processor (so she could see which features used Gemini and which used Cloud TTS in Sydney), and a PII-scrubbed 80-character summary of the topic. If she ever changed her mind, one click would erase Mia's AI context (preserving her trophies and quiz history).

Every Sunday, Sarah receives a weekly digest showing what Mia worked on, how long she spent, and which topics she found challenging. She discovered that Mia learns best in the morning — her quiz scores are 18% higher before lunchtime — so Mia opted in to peak-hour notifications. As a parent, Sarah never worries about what is happening behind the screen. She controls the AI. She sees the data. And she knows it is stored in Melbourne, with personal information scrubbed before any AI processing. No data is ever used to train AI models.

“She controls the AI. She sees the data. And she knows personal information is scrubbed before anything reaches AI.”

Built for Parents Who Care

One Chat, Same Controls

Your child uses an "Owl Tutor" chat as their single entry point to every AI tool on Qwizflow — instead of hunting through a menu, they just describe what they want and the right tool happens inside the chat. Every per-feature consent toggle you've set still applies, every interaction still shows up in the Parent Transparency Ledger as a PII-scrubbed 80-character summary, and if your child asks for something that needs your approval, the chat shows a one-tap bundle prompt instead of dead-ending them.

Granular AI Consent Centre

Toggle each AI feature individually with plain-English age-banded explanations for under-13, 13–15, and 16+. Multi-parent consent applies the most restrictive setting automatically.

Parent Transparency Ledger

See PII-scrubbed summaries of every AI interaction your child has — per-feature, per-sub-processor, with one-click context erasure if you change your mind.

Voice Feature Controls

Voice-native AI tutor inherits AI Quiz Generation consent for under-16s. See voice usage in seconds (with the 600s daily cap, 300s for under-13) inside the ledger.

Weekly Digest

Sunday email summary with skills mastered, skills in progress, average score, quizzes this week, and a personalised insight (e.g. "Mia learns best in the morning").

Child Progress View

Real-time dashboard showing quiz scores, mastery levels, topic trophies, learning path progress, streaks, and subject-by-subject performance.

Help Tonight

A nightly parent script that turns whatever your child is studying into a 5-minute dinner-table conversation. Includes a real-world example and a check question.

Parent Coach

Chat with an AI coach for tips and strategies tailored to your child's progress patterns and learning style. Ownership-checked so you only see your own children.

Data Transparency

See exactly what data is collected, where it is processed, and which sub-processor handled each AI feature. Full consent audit logs and one-click JSON export.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Parent Dashboard provides real-time visibility into your child’s learning. You can see quiz results, learning path completion, time spent studying, topics covered, and achievement badges earned. The dashboard also shows which subjects your child excels in and where they need extra support. Additionally, you receive optional weekly email digests every Sunday summarising the week’s activity, including skills mastered, skills in progress, and personalised tips for supporting your child at home.

Qwizflow uses a granular AI consent system that gives you full control. Each AI feature — Socratic Tutor, Homework Helper, Story Writer, Quiz Explanations, Study Guides, Debate Arena, and Roleplay — can be individually enabled or disabled from the AI Consent Centre. For children under 16, only a parent or guardian can grant consent. Students aged 16 and above can self-consent, though parents retain the ability to override. All consent changes are logged in an audit trail, and when multiple parents are linked to a student, the most restrictive setting applies automatically.

All student data is stored in Firebase’s australia-southeast2 (Melbourne) region with point-in-time recovery (7-day window), delete protection, and daily automated backups. When AI features are used, personal information is scrubbed before prompts are sent to AI providers. AI text generation uses Vertex AI in the Sydney region. Some services, such as image generation and authentication, are processed in the United States under Google’s Data Processing Addendum. No student data is ever used to train AI models. Full sub-processor details are available in our Privacy Policy.

Yes. Multiple parents or guardians can be linked to a single student account using invite codes (PAR-XXXX). Each parent can independently manage consent settings. When parents have different preferences, the most restrictive setting automatically applies to protect the child. Both parents are notified whenever a consent setting is changed, ensuring full transparency between caregivers. This design ensures that even in separated families, the child’s safety settings are always governed by the most protective choice.

Yes, completely. There are no paid tiers, no advertisements, no in-app purchases, and no data monetisation. Every feature available in Qwizflow is free for every family. This includes the AI Socratic Tutor, Homework Helper, Story Writer, adaptive quizzes, learning paths, the Parent Dashboard, weekly digests, and the AI Consent Centre. Qwizflow is funded to ensure equitable access to AI-powered education for every Australian child, regardless of family income.

You can disable every AI feature with individual toggles in the AI Consent Centre, or turn them all off at once. When AI features are disabled, your child can still use non-AI features including document uploads, manually created quizzes, learning path browsing, and achievement tracking. You can re-enable features at any time. The consent system is designed to give you complete control — you choose exactly what your child can access, and you can change your mind whenever you like.

The Parent Transparency Ledger is a chronological, PII-scrubbed log of every AI interaction your child has had on Qwizflow. For each interaction you see the feature (e.g. Voice Tutor, Story Writer, Discussion Mode), the sub-processor that handled it (Gemini, Google Cloud TTS, or Vertex AI), the timestamp, and an 80-character summary of the topic — never raw transcripts. You can filter by feature, paginate by cursor, and export the full bundle as JSON. If you ever change your mind about your child's AI usage, one button erases their AI-visible context (recent topic summaries, outstanding misconceptions, content level) while preserving their trophies and academic record. The ledger is per-child and ownership-checked so only linked parents can see it.

Voice-native tutoring on Qwizflow runs through Google Cloud Text-to-Speech in the Sydney region (australia-southeast1). For children under 16, voice features inherit the existing AI Quiz Generation consent — you do not need to manage a separate voice consent toggle. There is a per-student daily voice budget (600 seconds for ages 13+, 300 seconds for under-13 — more conservative for the youngest) that resets at midnight, and the budget is visible to your child through the AI quota battery chip on their Learning Hub. All voice synthesis stays in Australia for the child-facing pipeline. The Parent Transparency Ledger shows each voice interaction as a row with the seconds billed.
