Grade 2
In Grade 2 the number range passes one hundred and the first patterns appear — skip counting, doubles, halves. Reading shifts from decoding to comprehension: a student can read the words and is now asked what the passage meant. Writing gains punctuation and a clear beginning, middle and end.
