Australian Curriculum v9
7 topics
5 learning areas

Year 5 is the year the work starts to resemble secondary school. Fractions, decimals and percentages are treated as three views of the same thing; data is collected, displayed and then interpreted; and in English a text is analysed for how it was built, not only what it says. Independent research tasks usually begin here.
